Workshop on "Exchange of experience on issues of protection of the rights of national minorities in the member states of the Council of Europe"

On June 18-19, 2019, during the moderation of representatives of the Council of Europe and the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine in the Rus Hotel, a working meeting "Exchange of experience on issues of protection of the rights of national minorities in the member countries of the Council of Europe" was held. Andriy Yurash, Director of the Department for Religious Affairs and Nationalities of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, presented the presentation of the "Policy on National Minorities in Ukraine: Opportunities and Implications" by the Ministry of Culture. The best practices in the member countries of the Council were considered: executive structures dealing with the protection of the rights of national minorities. In the course of the discussion, the participants shared their experience and achievements. This was in the statement "Policy Priorities for National Minorities in the Republic of Serbia" by independent advisor Vlado Radulovich; in the speech "National Minorities on the Stage of the Czech Republic" by the Secretary of the Government of the Czech Republic Milan Paspishila. There was also discussion of best practices of member countries of the Council of Europe. In the end - summed up and discussed the directions of further cooperation.
